Bach Trumpet Modifications







This Trumpet is in the shop to improve the playability.  We start with a thorough inspection along with precision measurements to establish a starting point for the modifications required.  Next we design and build a custom receiver and mouthpiece with precision internal settings. Braces are repositioned to relieve tension.  Removing stress in the braces will improve the sound resonance, response as well as the note placement.  


The receiver was designed with additional weight and increased length to improve sound response and resonance.  Medium weight was chosen to increase sound core. We then dialed in the mounting position to find the best sound quality possible. 



Chemical Cleaning was done to provide the best playing condition possible.  Ultrasonic cleaning on the valves improved the valve action.  Finally, Bell dents were removed, silver was buffed and polished to a high luster.
